Netanyahu Reminds Israel and Iran That He Is Fully in Command of the Situation

Date:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a clear message to both Israelis and Iran’s military this week with a single café-filmed video posted on X — he was alive, in command, and leading an active military campaign without any sign of retreat or doubt. The clip was confident and occasionally humorous, but its underlying message was one of complete resolution. It drew enormous global engagement.

Netanyahu used a Hebrew expression to make light of the death rumors, joking that the only dying happening was over his love of coffee. He then addressed Israelis with heartfelt words, praising their extraordinary solidarity and saying their support was a genuine source of strength for himself, the government, the IDF, and the intelligence community. He described their behavior throughout the conflict as exceptional.

The video addressed the AI conspiracy directly, responding to press conference footage appearing to show Netanyahu with six fingers. He extended both hands toward the camera and counted each finger on screen, providing a simple and definitive visual rebuttal. The moment was effective, memorable, and widely covered across international news outlets.

He confirmed that significant Israeli military operations were ongoing in both Iran and Lebanon. He withheld specific details but expressed confidence in the direction and effectiveness of those missions. He urged all Israelis — from private citizens to senior officials — to follow civil defense instructions and remain close to protected spaces at all times.

Iran’s IRGC issued a formal declaration through state media pledging to pursue and kill Netanyahu. The statement used hostile language and was framed as a standing military objective. The official nature of the death threat reinforced the deeply personal and dangerous dimension of the current conflict for Netanyahu and drew swift international condemnation.
